Email loss when cancelling seding mail with unencodable char

I replied to some email. After hitting "Send", an alert appeared informing me the mail contained an unencodeable character and I could either "Send" anyway, or try to fix it by pressing "Cancel".

Only, after pressing "Cancel" I didn't return to my reply-email! It was gone, gone! <Arrgl>.

I just realized, that Mail is still hanging in the Deskbar though no window are open. I entered KDL and lo! there's my missing window "w>...." waiting.

So, looks like the reply is actually still there, only the window isn't shown. Hope that helps.

Same happened to me as well today. By using the Deskbar to "Close All" on Mail you actually get the alert and are able to save it as a draft before it'll close. Still this is extremely irritating and annoying.

Fixed in r33936. I originally introduced that Hide() for a better user experience...
