My screen goes black after the first boot icon. I can't get to kdl or find any other information.

As documented in the Haiku User Guide you can hold SHIFT while booting to get the BootLoader Options. Since you have a Radeon HD4800 card, I'd start with selecting safe-mode-video. If that does not work experiment with some of the other options.

I tried everything. Nothing will make Haiku boot on this machine. With the latest build I cant even get to the BootLoader Options screen. It reads the usb or cd with haiku and restarts. Black screen.

Dear lxstoian,

would you please try the patch in #8111?

Thanks

Replying to yongcong:

Dear lxstoian,

would you please try the patch in #8111?

Thanks

I don't have a machine set up to build Haiku, so I can't test any patches unless they are part of a nightly.

comment:7 by tqh, 12 years ago

The patch is applied in hrev44025. Please test with nightly that has this change.
