Description

HP xw9400 on board sound is not recognised by Haiku. Attached listdev and HP quickspecs info.

It's the graphics card audio output (HDMI). On board sound is usually not this type of device. Is there anything else (USB for instance)?

That's strange, since the HD2600 card I had in the PC does not have an HDMI port - only DVI and SVHS. In ticket #10536, kallisti5 said "I reworked the GPIO pins recently... looks like something got messed up somewhere. I'll take a look at this one asap." This was in regards to no video output on Radeon cards. Could his changes have affected audio as well? I have several different Radeon cards, some with HDMI. Tonight I'll try different cards and earlier builds (before the changes) to see if the problem still exists.

Problem resolved. BIOS settings. You can close this ticket.
