Rethink the show "Only featured packages" setting

Description

This is hrev49694.

I recently saw a video of a blind walkthrough, i.e. someone records their experience using Haiku wihthout reading up on anything about it before. When coming to the HaikuDepot (finally... it's a long video, though I recommend watching it to see a fresh perspective), the user got an empty list after choosing the "Games" category.

I wondered what was going on there, until I remembered the "Show | Only featured packages". I normally always enter a search term, which disables that option...

How about we disable that option when a category is chosen (just like when you enter a search term)?

And: featured packages could have a yellow star in a column in front of the icon. Clicking onto that column's header could sort the featured packges to the top (and keep the current sorting order within).

+1 from me.

I can't remember whether I intended the featured packages setting to filter entries when a category is chosen, or if that is actually a bug and I meant it to work just like with a search term...

Showing an empty list is not so helpful. Another possibility would be to fall back to disabling the featured packages as soon as the list would be empty. I am just thinking that showing only the featured packages of a certain category is a valid use-case.

But I am wondering.... the featured packages do show installed packages by default. You should have seen the installed, featured games, no?

I agree. Maybe move the menu item "Only featured packages" into a pop-up menu with the label "Filter:". There could be another filter "Only ratings" with a submenu labeled "Greater than" and the items ⋆ up to ⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆.

I should've. I also should see every non-installed featured game. There are "featured" games, right?

What about making the "featured packages" show first, with big icons and full-height entries, and below that in the list, have the other entries in the more compact format? The game list is short enough, maybe it could use the "featured" style for everything?
