    11It looks like Haiku detects a GPT partition table only (this wasn't supported in alpha4 days so it wasn't a problem). I suggest erasing the two *last* sectors of your drive, that should erase the GPT which is stored both at start and end of the disk precisely to make it harder to accidentally erase.

     3The simplest solution is to dd if=/dev/zero on the whole drive, then rewrite the boot image over that. It makes sure there are no leftover from previous things you did with the drive.
