Deskbar crashes after upgrade from 51448 while using Vesa — at Initial Version

Description
Beginning with Hrev 51449 to the current Hrev 51453, the Deskbar crashes continously while in Vesa mode. The machine that I use has been running Haiku for the past 3 years with the Vesa driver. I have previously upgraded from Hrev 51432 to Hrev 51448 with no issues.
I have tried all versions of Haiku from Hrev 51449 to Hrev 51453 and the the Deskbar is totally unusable while using Vesa. The last version that runs successfully in Vesa is Hrev 51448.
The steps to reproduce would be to upgrade from Hrev 51448 to any of the newer Hrev's up to 51453 using the Vesa drivers.
