usb does not function

Description

I have been living with this for several years.

apparentlu this is a bug ..

KERN: usb uhci: AddTo(): found with invalid IRQ - check IRQ assignement

No kdl, but stilldoesn't boot. stops on the third icon. on-screen debug info

Yes, it appears the problem here is that ACPI failed initialization, so the ACPI interrupt routing tables can't be used.

What model of PC is this? Is there a firmware upgrade available for it?

compaq Preserio SR1103WM and I cannot find a bios upgrade for it.
