EEEPC 4G surf non-native resolutions don't work

After updating my EEEPC from about a 1 - 2 year old nightly resolution switching away from the LCD panel's native resolution of the 800x480 no longer works. The screen goes white with lines in it. This happens both when an application requests a different resolution (ScummVM) or using the screen preferences panel to change resolution.

Currently running hrev54202 I don't know when this regressed as I deleted the old install before I realized that this was broken.

Note that returning to the original resolution does work and the system will continue to function like normal then.

Syslog hrev54154

Confirming problem in r1beta2 ( hrev54154 ).

These resolutions worked correctly from hrev53787 (closing https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/14066) until at least hrev53790.

Syslog attached of booting hrev54154 at 840x400, followed by resolution changes to 640x480, 640x400, 640x350 in turn.

It would be nice to test some revisions between hrev53790 and hrev54154 then, as scanning 450 revisions for possible changes isn't so much fun.

Providing syslogs of the last working version for comparison could be helpful as well.
