smp freeze on AMD?

Description

When trying out R1B3 RC1 on a clean install I run into reproducible freezes. Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install Haiku
  2. clone haikuporter/haikuports
  3. run things needed to have haikuporter up and running ...
  4. run "hp" in Terminal (updating dependencies)

First thought that the issue about memory (mentioned in a ticket by Diver) was an issue, that wasn't the cause. Then I disabled SMP in the bootmenu Things work as expected? Adding some screenshots and syslogs from 2 laptops running into the same problem ...

Please see if things are any different on a recent nightly (i.e. hrev56332+.)

Seems to be OK now, got some packages build, no freezes, could probably need some more testing though.

EDIT: Acer laptop still freezes (updated to latest (current) nightly)

Don't have the same HW anymore to test, so far no freezes on current laptops.
