I travel a lot, and I use a netbook. I want to use Haiku on that netbook bechause Haiku is a great netbook operating system. But a netbook needs a network. My Acer Aspire One, running Haiku, supports wireless networks, as long as they are unencrypted or use WEP. But Ad-Hoc is not supported... Perhaps the easiest way to get mobile broadband is to install an application called JoikuSpot on your cell phone. It creates an Ad-Hoc wireless network that your laptop can use. It works with all operating systems that support wireless networking, except Haiku. I have been told that the reason is that Haiku '''does not''' support Ad-Hoc. It is really important to get this working, so Haiku becomes useable for many more people. I will make the switch to running Haiku as soon as this is in place. Nowdays I can only use Haiku when my neighbor's unencrypted network is up.",enhancement,closed,normal,R1/beta2,Network & Internet/Wireless,R1/Development,fixed,Ad-Hoc Networking,,,,All
