R1 Beta 1 Timelines

The following timelines have been proposed for Beta 1

  * two weeks - last minute scramble. Don't commit anything risky.
  * Branch R1B1
  * Tag R1B1rc1
  * 1 month - *Bug fixes only*
    * All hands on deck testing of release candidates.
    * Documentation work.
    * Weekly release candidates. Release Coordinator can adjust as needed.
  * Release is frozen
  * Point of no return, RC can no longer stop the release at this point.
  * 1 week Final testing and documentation of known bugs.
  * Final public release.
