R1 Alpha 1

Purpose
First official release. The main goals was to have Haiku self-hosting and for all known data corruption bugs to be eliminated.

R1 Alpha 2

To give casual end-users an updated release for proper bug testing. Include incremental features to be tested or utilized.

Feature freeze. Development energies focused on identify and resolving bugs and instabilities. Possible branching for R1 Beta 1 to immediately follow the tag & release of the last planned R1 Alpha.
- Package manager: should provide easy upgrade from any beta release to R1 - HaikuDepot
- Support for ASLR (Address Space Layout Randomization) and DEP (data execution prevention) added
- Added KeyStore server for securely storing passwords
