SoundRecorder recordings mainly white noise

Description

If I monitor line-in using SoundPlay, it sounds beautiful, very clean. If I then close SoundPlay and run SoundRecorder, the VU meters appear to register clean audio as well, however the recordings are full of thick white noise or static, with just a little original audio in the background, mainly (or perhaps completely) in one channel.

Retire this, no longer the case...recordings sound beautiful now.
