Description

I am having an issue with getting sound from this laptop. If I look in the "Media" prefs it shows there as "HD Audio" Listed as both "Audio Imput" and "Audio Output" with Channel set to "ouptup 0" Output Frequency; is at "9600 Hz", looks like the driver is loaded. When I play an audio file or video file I get the "bouncing bars" indicating audio playing. but, nothing comes out of the speakers or the headphone jack. I have tested using an other OS and both the speaker and headphone jack work. I have been trying to find more info about this specific chip but can't seem to find it. What can I do?

PCI Information: device/type: 0x4 device/subtype: 0x3 device/interface: 0x0 device/vendor: 0x8086 device/id: 0x27d8
