1 | | The KDLs we had at the time with TunePrepper were due to a rootfs buffer overflow which was later fixed by mmlr; about half the time they had the tell-tale "0xdeadbeef" pointer mentionned somewhere. So my posts above were probably irrelevant to this ticket, or to any others.. Unless there are other use patterns that lead to creating folders (or symlinks) in "/" and then renaming them, which then would have been subject to the same kernel memory smashing phenomenon until the fix was found. |
