Midi file doesn't stop playing immediately after hitting "Stop"

Description
In Midiplayer, play any MIDI file. After a while, click on the "Stop" button. The playing doesn't stop immediately, it only does after a couple of seconds.

Since I can only test with the soft synth, would be interesting to know if this happens with an external MIDI interface.
