    1 I went back to hrev48269 for verification, as it is specifically mentioned in the post where I requested closing the ticket. I'll try to narrow down the range to determine when the regression happened.

I'll try to narrow down the range to determine when the regression happened. Newer 64 bit builds also exhibit this same behaviour. So, it is not limited to just the x86_gcc2 versions.
