You can use Beezer from HaikuDepot as a work around.
Not true at all. Beezer is still using system defaults. Misread humdinger from G+ page: https://plus.google.com/110289314930207973642/posts/PJ46rYn13N5

The fix is simple:
pkgman install unzip
It should be preinstalled in newer nightlies (didn't check, if it isn't we need to fix that), however it is not really a dependency of Haiku, so updating from a revision where it was builtin to one where it is a separate package will not automatically install it.

Summary: | 64 bit anyboot image empty contents → unzip not installed when updating |

Problem is probably in Expander extraction rules and programs. Haiku, updated to recent revisions don't have extraction program packages installed or packages became broken. Installing this packages manually fixes issue.
