Well, this ticket could be very similar to ticket:12717.

Every time that I boot Haiku I am informed about the fact that my network card is ready. But i can assume this thanks to the green dot present in the network status present as replicant in the Deskbar. So I think that this redundant notification could be removed from the startup.

I respectfully disagree. That green dot is tiny (3x3 on my screen!), and I believe the networking replicant is not installed in the deskbar by default - the user needs to run it manually from Desktop applets first and decide whether to run it from the desktop or as an app window (sorry, it's been a while since I installed to a clean partition, so that might no longer be true).

If the replicant was installed by default and someone redesigned it to be a little more clear (read, BIGGER) I could support this idea.

What bugs me is the way the notification (all notifications, actually) obstructs the Deskbar for a second or two before I can start working. Can't it be moved to the opposite side? That might also solve the OP's problem.

So, maybe, a good compromise would be to make the network notification optional?

For me, the "problem" is not the fact that the notification obstructs the Deskbar for a second or two (I use many other notifications on my system, and the position of notification is OK for me), is just the fact that for me this net notification is just redundant and superfluos

(just remember that is also possible placing/drag the network status as replicant on the Desktop: here the "green dot" is more bigger):
