Please provide a syslog including the part where the disc is scanned for partitions and filesystems.

For example, open a terminal and run tail -f /var/log/syslog. Insert the CD (have auto-mounting disabled so the system doesn't panic) and copy the terminal text to a file.

I suspect another instance of #11455.
