    22As long as both are set to a commonly supported resolution (1280x1024), there is a normal appearing desktop on both.

     4When the screen resolution is not common to both monitors, all I get is a colour bar on the monitor screen, both during boot and afterwards. (see attached photo)

    46As a side note, I performed this same test on a Dell Optiplex 780 with Intel Q45 graphics, and it is also working OK.
