    33I found a small issue, I think I should mention. When you use this keymap it will appear on the keymap switcher indicator as "P" which is a Russian "R". That is because I originally named the file "Русский.яшерты". So I presume system took the first letter to identify the keymap.

    5 In order to clarify that the keymap is Yawerty, it would be better that a letter "Я" (ya) is shown. At least as long as the input method stays as it is now.

At least as long as the input method stays as it is now. I added a new file with the name "YawertyKeymap" that now shows "Ya" in keymap switcher. That way user identifies better that is using a "Yawerty" Russian keymap.
