#14348 closed bug (fixed)

Network preferences window crashes when SSID list gets updated

Reported by: v.vill Owned by: pulkomandy
Priority: normal Milestone: R1/beta2
Component: Preferences/Network Version: R1/Development
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Platform: All

Description

Greetings, if, after booting, I open the /boot/system/preferences/Network GUI and click on the dropdown menu while the wifi card is scanning and refreshing the SSID list every second or so (which seems a bit intense, btw), the Network app crashes with the attached error.

I'm running hrev 52205 x86_64 on an Atheros card, which has been having some stability problems (see #14282) so this could be a factor here. I'm also experiencing some issues with wpa_supplicant with this card (see #[TBC]).

It may actually be the case that we don't handle BMenus getting modified while they are open, in which case this is an Interface Kit bug.

This looks potentially related but different enough to warrant its own ticket.

Milestone: UnscheduledR1/beta2

Assign tickets with status=closed and resolution=fixed within the R1/beta2 development window to the R1/beta2 Milestone

Replying to roiredxsoto:

I see you removed your comment. Does this mean it is actually working?
