    66BTW The nouveau driver is a quite solid driver these days ;-)

     8- Ah one more point maybe: you -could- have a quick peek at your BIOS to see if you have an option to set the AGP voltages or so for your system, maybe that could solve the incompatibility (AGP 8x capable cards often run at lower voltages than the older x1..x4 versions.
