    3 - external display: what connectors do you have and would they work?

    44- you are one of the few people actually using a actual DP connection (so run that protocol, a lot of screens run DVI/HDMI over the belonging connector). Still open for DP specifically is fetching EDID info over the advanced controller piggybacking on the DP connection. This requires (in the end) a partial rewrite of the common functions Haiku has for this, so I am still postponing this a bit.
