    4 I tested the efibootmgr trick mentioned there and it worked. That allowed me to install Haiku from usb stick. Once installed, that step is no longer needed and I can boot through GRUB. This could mean that this is probably the same problem and therefore this ticket would also be a duplicate of #17515, considering that the hardware setup is similar (gigabyte board and amd ryzen cpu) but in my case a generation newer.

I don't know how the hardware differences among these two platforms change the way this problem unfolds though.

     6But the issue here is that the problem is still there and it could be troublesome if a non-advanced user with a similar hardware setup doesn't have Linux preinstalled to do this workaround and would be stuck with a seemingly non-functional usb installer.
