4 | | I tested the efibootmgr trick mentioned there and it worked. That allowed me to install Haiku from usb stick. Once installed, that step is no longer needed and I can boot through GRUB. This could mean that this is probably the same problem and therefore this ticket would also be a duplicate of #17515, considering that the hardware setup is similar (gigabyte board and amd ryzen cpu) but in my case a generation newer. |

This could mean that this is probably the same problem and therefore this ticket would also be a duplicate of #17515, considering that the hardware setup is similar (gigabyte board and amd ryzen cpu) but in my case a generation newer. I don't know how the hardware differences among these two platforms change the way this problem unfolds though. |

| 6 | But the issue here is that the problem is still there and it could be troublesome if a non-advanced user with a similar hardware setup doesn't have Linux preinstalled to do this workaround and would be stuck with a seemingly non-functional usb installer. |
