Ahoy,

Updating several packages - amongst them : the referred Webkit package - caused first the crashes of the browser without a note, later with error window, where I could have create report as well, but then still skipped and urged to restore working state.. as I'm after a long journey on switching from 23 to 64bit Haiku as well since weeks.

At that moment I decided to check out situation with reinstalling saved - earlier, working package :

haikuwebkit-1.9.8-1-x86_64.hpkg

  • would help on it ? Yes, it helped .. the crashes stopped, Webpositive worked relieably as it did earlier. However the story goes on - I would attach a crash report file as well - you can examine it. I do so as I discovered the earlier reporters had not opened ticket here about it - against the forum posts. Recently I let an update

put back haikuwebkit-1.9.9-1-x86_64.hpkg That I assumed it is the fixed one. Unfortunately I forgot to note/record the problematic version, just as create a crash report file earlier.

As it still crashes as the lately created report file proves it - I reinstalled again the haikuwebkit-1.9.8-1-x86_64.hpkg

I have open Haiku related sites : Home + forum + Gerrit + this ticketing tool Google sites : Google Translate + my Gmail (of Kitsuneprefecture)

Those standard ones and generally never crashes the Webpositive browser at all.

The crash happened instantly after restarted the browser with updated Haiku Webkit package - the active site was the forum, as I updated the package meanwhile the browser was running - then I was reading the forum, so when came back it was the forum as active tab.It had not crashed until it was not restarted.

Kind regards,
