Ticket #3150, comment 47
v1 v2 1 To clarify, by referencing ZFS, I was proposing that since the host OShas verifiably non-corrupted data, the virtual disk file of Haiku sitting on top of it could be hit with various scenarios.1 To clarify, by referencing ZFS, I was only proposing a test case in order to rule out corruption of the underlying media. Since the host OS (any supporting ZFS that can be used as a virtual machine host for a 32 bit guest) has verifiably non-corrupted data, the virtual disk file of Haiku sitting on top of it could be hit with various scenarios. 2 2 3 3 That way, if a trigger case is discovered where the data in the BeFS volume is showing symptoms of corruption, it would be possible to rule out physical corruption of the media as its cause.
