#9995 closed bug (fixed)

Tracker crashes when replicant removed from desktop

Reported by: mounty Owned by: nobody
Priority: normal Milestone: R1/beta2
Component: Applications/Tracker Version: R1/Development
Keywords: crash replicant remove Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Platform: x86

Description

Actions to reproduce. Some of these may not be relevant but I mention everything I did that led up to the crash:

  • Open FRiSS.
  • On preferences, switch to preview mode.
  • Add feed: http://www.landcroft.co.uk/notices.xml
  • View some items.
  • Drag replicant onto desktop.
  • Close main FRiSS window, leaving only replicant.
  • Remove from desktop.

(Probably adding that feed is unnecessary but I did, so I mention it here in case it's relevant.) (Probably also not necessary to view items.)

The application:

/boot/system/Tracker

has encountered an error which prevents it from continuing etc.

This was from a development build git pulled about four hours ago.

As requested. BTW, this is a gcc4-only build.

As of *hrev51201* I am unable to reproduce this problem because fRiSS 0.8 downloaded via HaikuPorter crashes on startup but will monitor the situation. I have not reported the crash in fRiSS as I assume it must be widely known, as it crashes immediately.

Sigh. Please DO report bugs. Always. I didn't know fRiSS is currently broken, and I'm the main maintainer there.
