Many Open Source projects start as small but ambitious endeavors, with
the hopes of becoming successful. Though it is fair to say that most do
not. By taking some recent examples of successful OSS projects and
putting it in a juxtaposition with contemporary queer theory (after
all, being alternative is all about being queer), I attempt to
construct a new definition of success that hopefully serves as an
inspiration for OSS projects.
