#10408 new bug

Black screen on laptop with Nvidia Optimus

Reported by: cb88 Owned by: nobody
Priority: normal Milestone: R1
Component: Drivers/Graphics Version: R1/Development
Keywords: boot-failure Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Platform: All

Description

I get a black screen apparently due to the nvidia driver getting loaded and used rather than defaulting to the Intel GPU that acutually controls the output. When I delete the nvidia.accelerant it works as expected (I installed via QEMU to the physical hard disk then found the problem when I rebooted also im using NeoGrub to boot from the windows 8 bootloader).

This is on an i7-3630QM with Nvidia Geforce GT 650M

Tested on an Optimus laptop here and it seems to work. Still an issue?
