app_server locking problem in DEBUG=1 mode

Description
I set DEBUG=1 on app_server while working on app_server. Sometimes, apparently when opening a window, I get this crash.
Note that this is with my ClipToPicture changes in, but it doesn't look like it's related.

I noticed that this seems to be non-fatal, and app_server seems to still be working. However, keyboard focus goes to the console used for debugger, so the only thing I can do is try rebooting.
