Description

A must have for any modern operating system.

With features to:

  • Burn disc image
  • Create UDF disc
  • Create ISO 9660 disc
  • Create DVD Video disc
  • Format RW disc

Milestone: R1 → Unscheduled

For R1 we could use an existing tool. For R2 or R3 we might want to have something that integrates well with Tracker and maybe MediaPlayer (if we can't find a way to have audio CD burning via Tracker).

I think ​http://libburnia-project.org/ might be interesting (although it's under GPL) for underlying libs.

We have optional package cdrecord which does all of this from the command line.

What would be cool are a lib that a tracker add-on and app could share, perhaps based on cdrecord. BurnIt NOW!are MIT and could perhaps be worked on.

BurnItNow is now an optional package. That should satisfy this ticket, right?
