Description
With the move of the Nightly Images, in particular the Recommended ones, from http://www.haiku-files.org/haiku/development/ to http://download.haiku-os.org/nightly-images/x86_gcc2_hybrid/, we have lost the .tar.xz archive flavor.
Any chance of getting this restored? This was/is my preferred format and I can't imagine I'm the only one.
If not, I'd love to hear the background as to why.

The reason IIRC is that since introduction of package managment everything is already in compressed packages. XZ has therefore lost it's advantage of better compression compared to ZIP. Since ZIP is widely used, esp. on Windows, and to save considerable amounts of hosting storage, the XZ-compressed images were retired.
