Description
After upgrading Haiku from hrev48364 to hrev48438 (with pkgman update) I noticed that i miss this feature: http://cgit.haiku-os.org/haiku/commit/?id=f83af26271c986fdc3ad78ddd23790f1af56f52f I guess that is due to the fact that the Haiku hpkg files cannot write data out of the read only directories? In anyway, since we are able to update Haiku without format/reinstall, we should assuring these abilities.

Just add the lines to your kernel settings file, if you want. The file is obsolete anyway. And for the global settings it would actually be supported via the global-writable-files feature.
