Works here with hrev49081. The Locale preflet shows it correctly on the right side of the formatting tab. Tracker windows don't update on the fly BTW, you need to restart Tracker (e.g. quitting and restarting with ProcessController in the Deskbar). Sure it's not working as expected?

You're correct. I was looking at the date in the Time app, which differs from the format shown in other places within Haiku.

Short format can't be changed to DD/MM/YYYY anywhere. I still see this as a missing feature.

The Locale preflet shows American format, I can't see anywhere to change that.

Seems as if the old habit of prematurely closing reports hasn't gone away here.

Do I miss something?

Has to be an install issue on the USB stick, something not being erased when formatting. What I see differs completely from your attachment. Remains closed, thanks for your patience.

OK, apparently I'm not going mad after all (although I'm sure some will debate this).

The attached screenshots are what I see after reformatting the USB stick and reinstalling the latest nightly from scratch. Hope you can explain it because it sure is different.

If you click the little arrow head to the left of the label "English", a list expands where you can select the specific, regional formatting.

comment:9 by haiqu, 10 years ago

Thanks. That wasn't exactly intuitive but I've got it now.

Well, the little arrow head is a common GUI widget in Haiku to expand stuff (see file info in Tracker, the Deskbar expanders, the Find window etc.). As the formatting changes regionally, choosing a language just isn't enough.
