Twitcher-like behaviour of Workspaces

Description
This is hrev50113.
It'd be nice to integrate the Workspaces applet like the Twitcher (CTRL+Tab): The Workspaces window would only be shown as long as a shortcut is held. ALT+^ already switches between two workspaces, so holding that combo would be natural, as it mirrors the Twitcher behaviour.
[I put this ticket in the "Application/Workspaces" category, though it'd be a system service of course. So it'd really be app_server? Let's just not stick into the Deskbar as the Twitcher...]
