Description
About 3 years ago I opened this ticket: #9286; #9286 was meant as enhancement.
However, since in the meantime I installed Windows 7 on my main computer, I've found the following behavior (this ticket is about a specific lack on my system; the #9286, instead, is about an improvement on systems which doesn't provide this hardware feature):
On my system I have an HDA integrated sound card, and on Windows 7 I am able to choose, as audio input in the audio preferences, the "stereo mix" - I can record, as audio stream, everything that is sent to the audio output, routed to the audio input - this feature is available on Win 7: http://s8.postimg.org/50h7dn92t/HDA_Stereo_Mix_Input.png - but on Haiku I'm not able to choose an equivalent of "stereo mix" as audio source: there's not any option available inside Media Preferences.
hrev50141 and also older versions.

Maybe the system AudioMixer could support multiple output, allowing to use general system wide audio output as an input source too, which an AudioRecorder could then use as audio source.

I think this is mostly driver dependant, I'm not sure our HDA driver can do this.
