Deskbar crashes after upgrade from 51448 while using Vesa

Beginning with hrev51449 to the current hrev51453, the Deskbar crashes continously while in Vesa mode. The machine that I use has been running Haiku for the past 3 years with the Vesa driver. I have previously upgraded from hrev51432 to hrev51448 with no issues.
I have tried all versions of Haiku from hrev51449 to hrev51453 and the the Deskbar is totally unusable while using Vesa. The last version that runs successfully in Vesa is hrev51448.
The steps to reproduce would be to upgrade from hrev51448 to any of the newer Hrev's up to 51453 using the Vesa drivers.

Nothing can be done without at least a debug report.
