The object cache has paranoia checks, but they aren't enabled by default. Maybe enable them (this file: http://xref.plausible.coop/source/xref/haiku/build/config_headers/paranoia_config.h#5 -- set ENABLE... to 1 and then change OBJECT_CACHE_PARANOIA to ..._OBSESSIVE.) That might give some more information as to the crash.
