Download stops (stucks)

Description

Using the latest night build, having a problem with Haiku installed in VM (MacBook Pro Mid 2010, OSX El Capitan, VMWare Fusion 8.1.1). Haiku installs perfectly, looks like it is running just fine.

The problem i have is with downloads - they start fine, but after few seconds, process just stops (progress bar is not moving anymore) - no message, no error, nothing.

Typical example is when updating system with HaikuDepot. I have to cancel the stucked download everytime. Updater even after 15 minutes doesn’t report anything. It just stands still.

When progress bar gets stuck, internet activity stops (according to ActivityMonitor). I had the same problem before with WebPositive trying to download LibreOffice installation package. I think this is hapening mostly with larger files (updater first downloads few smaller updates, then tries to download large file and gets stuck).

Internet connection is working normally. Ping to google and gateway works normal. In VM Network settings i have selected internet sharing (share with my Mac).

Using Win, OSX and Linux virtual machines on the same MacBook without any problem.

Please state the Haiku revision you're testing. Please also provide a syslog. See https://dev.haiku-os.org/wiki/ReportingBugs#Syslog

Issue is related to VMWare Fusion. I've installed the same Haiku release into VirtualBox and downloads work without a problem.

I'm using VMware Fusion Professional 10.1.2 (8502123) and don't have any problems with network using ipro1000 driver.

Replying to diver:

I see - i am using Fusion 8.1.1 - maybe there is a difference.

Please retest under a recent nightly; some of the TCP fixes may help here.
