Monospace font keeps getting reverted to Noto Mono after reboot

Description

I'm trying to set Noto Sans Mono as monospace font. This works fine until I reboot - it is set back to Noto Mono.

hrev52300 x86_64 and x86_gcc2

I can't seem to figure out how this happens. CC'ing PulkoMandy who knows more about how app_server selects fonts than I do.
