It would be nice if SoftwareUpdater could tell that it couldn't connect to server due to networking problem instead of popping up alerts for every repo. Also notification is not correct in this case.

In what revision was it implemented? Because I *think* I saw the same recently.

Yeah, just switched VMware form NAT to Bridged and the same alerts popped up.

Oh, nevermind, I see the network error message only shows when the actual network device is disabled, and this only works when the program is starting up...
