Description
In BeOS, the mouse speed and acceleration can effectively be set on and anywhere between the markers. In Haiku this can be done too, but without lasting effect: as soon as the 'Mouse' window is closed after choosing the settings, the sliders move to the nearest marker and their speed/acceleration is used. This means there are only 7 settings for Speed and 5 settings for Acceleration in Haiku.

Correction:
After having a closer look, the acceleration *can't* be set effectively anywhere between the markers *when the 'Mouse' preferences window hasn't closed yet*.
This is suggested visually though, by the sliders that remain in place anywhere between the markers until the Mouse prefs window is closed.
There's no difference in speed nor acceleration depending on how far the slider is positioned away from the marker (this makes sense because the changes are implemented in real time and not after closing the prefs window).
