initial v1 1 1 I placed my collection of system sounds into the '/boot/home/config/settings/Sounds' directory. Then, I assigned some of these tested sounds via the 'Sounds' preferences applet to the following system sound options: 2 'Beep', 3 'Error nofification', 4 'Important nofification', 5 'Information nofification', 6 'Key down', 7 'Key up', 8 'Mouse down', 9 'Mouse up', 10 'Progress nofification', 11 'Startup', 12 'Window activated', 13 'Window close', 14 'Window minimized', 15 'Window open', 16 'Window restored', 17 'Window zoomed'. 2 * Beep 3 * Error notification 4 * Important notification 5 * Information notification 6 * Key down 7 * Key up 8 * Mouse down 9 * Mouse up 10 * Progress notification 11 * Startup 12 * Window activated 13 * Window close 14 * Window minimized 15 * Window open 16 * Window restored 17 * Window zoomed 18 18 19 19 After rebooting and/or restarting the Media Services, fifteen of the assigned sounds are not activated (i.e. played) when a triggering event occurs.
