Description

This is hrev53573, 32bit.

I haven't opened the TouchPad prefs for quite a while, but it now says: "No touchpad found, the settings will have no effect" and all widgets greyed out.

hrev53084 introduced this note back in April 2019.

The touchpad works though. I attached the syslog.

Your touchpad does not seem to be of a known type. So I'd say these touchpad settings never worked for you, it just wasn't visible before and the window would pretend to operate normally, but would do nothing?

I think so, at least I remember the scrolling areas and 2-finger scrolling never working for this notebook.
So, close this issue or remove the "anymore" from the title? :)
