I just tried to open it with Haiku hrev53806 32Bit... and it is working! Animation is playing!

32bit hrev53815 the animation will not play! Refresh will make it work...

After installing beta2 I'm keeping up my all-round testing, and.... I'm now seeing this bug. For some reason it had never ever occured in any previous hrev I've used.

Doing a right-click for "open in new window" (which opens in a new.. tab :-) actually produces a working instance of the GIF sometimes (testing with the above example link) though I generally have to use that trick 5 times in a row or more for it to work. Interesting little bug.

EDIT: interesting! Listen to this: when on a working (tab) instance, if I select another tab (e.g. of a non-working gif), then go back to the (previously working) tab, it no longer works, it's stopped at the last frame it had drawn.

On hrev56578+46, 64bit, HaikuWebKit 1.9.1, all animated GIFs I've happened on so far do work. Including the one linked on this ticket and the S&T pages of the QuickTour.

Only if you change tabs, it won't still run when you switch back. You have to reload the page to get it running again. I suppose it should pause when switching tabs and un-pause when you're back, but this ticket seems to be fixed.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
