Description
Background: A waterfall display shows signal strength at different frequencies. It draws one line per sample, and scrolls these lines.
Background: sdr radio is a system that allows for the use of other people's radios, allowing each user to virtually "tune" into stations on radios that may not be in the same country.
Background: < hrev53921
Severity: 2 / 4, [functionality] is impaired, because it is often used with stations that do not transmit continuously, i.e. Ham radio listening. It may be difficult to spot patterns without waterfall display.
Steps to reproduce:
- Visit hackgreensdr.org:8901
- Notice the black waterfall, see the first picture
- Quickly switch view to spectrum, see the second picture, so as to avoid a crash
- Switch view back to waterfall
- Notice the useless blue waterfall that does not indicate power at various frequencies
- Ignore the crash, because this is behaviorally distinct as far as I can fathom.

Sorry I screwed up the title. Waterfall on WebSDR is not useful, because it doesn't show signal strength via colors.
