Enabled CSM bios mode support in the UEFI and did a bios based boot of Haiku hrev53938. Haiku boots to a misaligned graphical layout, but it is functional enough to quikly poke around and power down to avoid damage.
The bios boot ends up with a partially functional graphical result. The top half of the screen is black, the bottom half of the screen contains the top of the Haiku graphical output.

The syslog says this is a generation 7 device but no platform control hub was found. So we should at least add the new PCH to the driver. But I don't know if that will be enough for supporting the device.

This intel Driver bug seems to be fixed in Haiku Beta 2 in terms of the corrupted screen. It is now running in framebuffer mode.

Hi, could be that the 'non-synced' screen is solved in a 32bit testversion of the driver, which you can download here:
https://discuss.haiku-os.org/t/graphics-on-dell-laptop-in-vesa-mode-only/10583/64
I'd be interested in the results of a quick test with it, both if it works and if it does not work..
