Description
After an update, only the left output of the headphone jack in my bare metal setup gives a signal - the right output is completely dead.

I think that probability of getting this issue by corrupted update is very low.
Did you tested your headphones with different hardware? Do it work with different OS?

Well, I reinstalled Haiku and the problem already went away, so 😅
When it was still there, I also checked the internal speaker - only the left output is active as well. The speaker still works correctly in Linux at the time.
(Before I got the issue, I force-quitted the updater because it's going really slow and I'm running late. That's also why I'm pretty sure it's a corrupt update.)

Updates are generally atomic, force quitting the updater will almost never cause corrupt updates. In fact given that package daemon does the actual transaction, if package daemon doesn't crash, the update basically can't be corrupted.

No reply, and possibly fixed in the interim anyway.
Actually, close this. This is due to a botched and possibly corrupted update.
